The House

Thereabouts offers a flexible layout that is comfortable for a couple or can accommodate two families (up to eight people). There are two bedrooms, plus sleeping capacity for four people in the Great Room. Each bedroom and the Great Room feature expansive views of Winding Bay. Three bathrooms and  two outside showers allow the whole crew to keep clean. The well-stocked kitchen features cypress cabinets built by a local craftsman (as do the bath rooms). The laundry and central air conditioning, along with a few old-fashioned tropical design details—high, vaulted ceilings and tile floors-- make it easy to stay comfortable.

The Great Room is the perfect evening gathering place—the site of countless fish tales (the one that got away…,) sea shell show-and-tell, cocktails and card games. Book shelves provide a mini lending library of popular novels along with reference books on the area's, fish, shells, birds and people.

The Back Porch, with its panoramic view of Winding Bay, is a great spot to dry off after a swim, sunbathe in privacy, and at night marvel at the milky way and spot satellites. The covered Front Porch hosts many a lunch at its picnic table.
